The Geological Survey is making a geologic atlas of the United States, which is being issued in parts, called Folio’s. Each folio includes topographic and geologic maps of a certain area, together with a descriptive text.”Published by the United States Geological Survey in Washington, these folios include a great deal of information regarding the topographic and geologic structure of the cites and towns that are listed. This folio of Colfax was published in 1900 and has a very detailed description and explanation of the quadrangle including the drainage, vegetation, transportation, water supply, and more. Maps in this folio include: Topographic Sheet, Historical Geology, Economic Geology, and Structure Section. This atlas is in good condition with some tears throughout and it is held together in its original paper cover.”
