Written in Latin with brown ink, in fine gothic textura script, on animal vellum with rubrics in red. Three two-line initials, three one-line initials and three line-extenders in gold on red and blue ground with delicate white tracery.Elegant rinceaux panel border in a delicate floral motif with ivy leaves in red, blue and burnished gold.The two line G” continues the Fifteen Joys of the Virgin – one of the most popular 15th century prayers, which celebrates the joyous moments of the Virgin’s life.
