Original leaf from an illuminated manuscript of the Jeleel el Khomat. Written on thin native handmade glazed paper. Very fine calligraphy in red and black ink – 11 lines of text with subscript entirely in red, with an illumined floral border. Margins ruled in orange, gold and blue. The interlinear divisions are in burnished gold. This Leaf is from a manuscript formerly in the collection of Henry White of Queen’s Gate and sold by Sotheby’s of London in April 1902.
