This is an original manuscript leaf from a late 17th- early 18th cenury book of prayer and religious quotations. Written on native polished paper in naskhi script ( the parent of modern Arabic writing), with diacritics in black, and illuminated gold discs decorated with red dots. Margins ruled in blue, red and gold. The leaf is divided with three bars of script on a tan wash and two sections of three lines of script on plain background. Some worming is evident.
