The Daniels and Fisher Tower was one of Colorado’s most adored historic landmarks before it met its demise in the 1950’s. This historic tower was the jewel of the Denver skyline, standing at 393 feet and serving as the tallest building west of the Mississippi. Those who visited the 10th floor of the tower could see 200 miles in each direction, an absolute spectacle for this time period. The tower itself was built with an Italian Renaissance style, constructed with brick, stone and terracotta. Due to immense work from preservationists in the 1970’s the Daniels and Fisher Tower was resurrected, and remains an important Denver landmark today.
