This stunning original John Gould bird was issued as one of the Bird’s of Great Britain”. This set of lithograph’s was produced over an 11 year period from 1862 – 1873, and was Gould’s last fully completed work. This was the work that Mr Gould was most proud of as an ornithologist. There were 367 separate birds pictured, many with nests, babies and natural surroundings. The inclusion of young birds and nests sets this book apart from the rest of the body of Gould’s work.
