George Ellsbury & Vernon Green published several brightly-colored and precisely drawn lithographic city views of the town in Minnesota and adjoining regions. Their two most important prints are this of Minneapolis and the companion print of St. Paul. Ellsbury pictured Minneapolis from the east bank of the Mississippi, with St. Anthony and its flour mills at the left and the commercial and residential districts of the city in the center and right.
