This bird’s-eye view of Washington D.C. was created by Currier & Ives, in 1892. All of the public buildings of the national capital are clearly depicted in this fine lithograph. This is the second edition of the print, with the Washington Monument completed. Its reflection shows only the lower portion of the shaft, an oversight by the lithographer when he added the top part of the monument.
