This 1687 double hemisphere map was made by Philip Lea. It was one of the first maps to introduce the idea of astronomy as map embellishments. The map features the moon, Jupiter, Venus, Mars, and Saturn. This map shows California as an island and only partial drawings of New Zealand, Tasmania, and Australia, which was called New Holland.
