This 1775 map by Jeffreys and Faden depicts Boston during the Revolutionary War on June 17th, 1775; the map shows the Battle of Bunker Hill during the Siege of Boston. Although the British won the battle, they incurred far more casualties, and began embracing a more cautious battle strategy. Military points of interest are indexed by letter in the table above. The map shows redoubts, batteries, reserves along the Charle’s River.
