The names of harbors, rivers and important buildings and coastal towns are identified on the map. These charts show areas that have likely undergone significant changes due to modifications and recessions of coastal lands, making them fascinating to anyone interested in local geography and history. This coastal survey, produced in 1856, shows the California coast from San Diego to Pt.Sal. Insets show San Luis Obispo and San Simeon Harbors. Some margins are small due to the way the survey was bound.
