This hand colored map is from “Grays Atlas of the United States, with general maps of the world. Accompanied by Descriptions Geographical, Historical, Scientific, and Statistical”, made in 1875 by O.W.Gray in Philidelphia, Pennsylvania. Palestine is illustrated on this beautiful map with an inset of Arabia Petrae. Vibrant pastels distinguish between countries and regions. Their names and those of important cities are given, mountains,rivers, and major roads are also shown. This map is in excellent condition with only slight age toning at the edge of the page and bright color.
