This map was made for Rand, McNally & Cos Indexed Atlas of the World in 1894. The country of Japan is shown, pastel coloring differentiates each region. Cities, towns, rivers, transportation routes and topographical features are noted. An outline map of Japan, the Ryukyu Islands, the South Extension of Osumi Province and Ezo and Chisma are also included within inset maps. This map would be lovely framed and would also make a great gift!’
