This map was made for C.S Hammond’s Modern Atlas of the World published in 1908. Exceptional detail and bright coloring are among the notable features of Hammond’s maps. This is a very interesting map of the Panama Canal, showing the line of the canal, the Panama railroad in its present location, the Panama railroad’s proposed location, dams and the land area. A description of the final plans of the Panama Canal and a cross section view of the canal is also included.
