A stunning decorative map of the Atlantic Ocean, with an handsome portrayal of British Admirals at the top. Maps such as this were informative, showing the public how easy it could be to traverse the seas to the New World. This map made on the Mercator projection, makes it look almost like island hopping to reach the new coasts, showing a connective routes through the Azores or the Canary Islands, from England or Spain. Lower margin is cropped close, but condition is very good.
