Colvin & Teal, Assayers and Chemists, 1018 Pearl Street. This is a view of Boulder County’s first courthouse and jail, built at 1018 Pearl Street in 1864. At the time this photo was taken the building housed the Colvin and Teal Assay Office. The building was Boulder’s city hall in the early days and later served as headquarters for the police and street departments.
