This striking copper-engraved map of the world was drawn by Claude Buffier in 1786. The map was issued in the atlas “Geographie Universelle suivie DUn Traite De La Sphere”. The atlas was printed in Liege, Belgium by Lemarie. Buffier produced some of the most beautiful small maps of this time period.
