Lindbergh Peak from Crater Lake. In the Hell Hole Section of the Glacier District, just west of Ward, Colo. This majestic peak named in honor of Colonel Lindbergh was dedicated on August 31, 1927. It rises 12,000 feet above sea level. To the west is beautiful Monarch Lake and at its base nestles Crater Lake, while surrounding it are the Arapahoe glaciers. It was renamed to Lone Eagle Peak.
