Thomas Bradford made this beautiful map showing the Atlantic Ocean in 1835 for his work “A Comprehensive Atlas…”. The copper plate engraved, hand colored map is mostly black and white with bright outline color distinguishing the borders of countries and a light sage border. Some principal cities included on the map are identified as well as many islands in the Atlantic.
