This detailed, well-maintained map of Indian Territory was issued in George F. Crams “Standard American Atlas” in 1884. The map shows the Choctaw Nation, the Chickasaw Nation,the Cheyennes & Arapahoes, the Cherokees, and the Apaches among others. This territory spreads throughout what is present-day Oklahoma and Kansas. Cram identifies myriad finished and unfinished railroad lines and township lines within the state. It also painstakingly marks numerous rivers, mountains, mills, sand dunes, military reservations, lakes, bays, towns, springs, mines, and more. An insightful glimpse of these territories in 1884!’
