FRAMED Globe (Double Hemisphere)

Out of stock

Here we have a map of the time when European empires ruled and spanned the globe. This is a time when the fledgling United States, was still coming to grips with what the continent held, and geographically how to surmount what they now possessed. Throughout the rest of the world, we see exploration in action, as the South Pacific and the continent of Australia (here “New Holland”) are being redefined, and in some instances located for the first time. Between the equators, we see the ocean currents and their directions. Surrounding the hemispheres are instructional spheres showing us how to identify meridians, parallels, circles, zones and others related issues. The map itself is in good condition, with strong hand color. Elegantly framed with cloth matting, inner liner, handsome gold frame and more. All archival materials and precautions have been used in the framing of this beautiful item.
