This beautiful and detailed map was made by Alexander G. Findlay (1812-1875), in 1850, and was published in his atlas “A Modern Atlas forming A Complete Compendium of Geography”. This hard to find English Map Maker based in London actually engraved all his cartographic works himself, rarely seen by 19th century map makers. This map features original outline and wash coloring, making the map very presentable. Although the pictures do not show it all water bodies are colored in a light pastel blue coloring. This map shows cities, towns, and villages, lakes, rivers, and water bodies, counties and regions, and mountains. This map features India.
