Antique map of the West Indies and Lesser Antilles

This map was made by Franz Anton Schraembl (1751-1803), an Austrian cartographer who produced several fine atlases and unique antique maps in the late 1700s. His maps are becoming quite rare, with only a few dozen sold by dealers over the last few years. This stunning map features the West Indies or Caribbean Islands. The map is concentrated on the southern islands such as the Lesser Antilles. Fantastic color and a decorative cartouche complete this fine map.
