Mappe-Monde en deux Hemispherea

This stunning double hemisphere map was made by Tardieu and engraved by Giraldon circa 1815. The title “Mappe Monde en deux Hemispherea” is shown through a parting of billowy clouds above the two hemispheres. This map has bright outline color distinguishing each realm. Mountain ranges, rivers -some only partially mapped, deserts, and lakes are shown and many are identified by name.
