This copper engraved map by Buffier is from an Italian version of his atlas, Geografia Universale del Padre Claude Buffier Della Compagnia di Gesu and was published in Venice by Francesco Pitteri in 1767. I believe these maps by Buffier are some of the most striking pieces in our collection.
