Map of the State of Michigan colored to show the Geological Formations

This beautiful map was originally published in “Tackabury’s Atlas of the State of Michigan”, in 1884. In all the years we have been selling maps this is the first time we have had this wonderful atlas, it is quite rare and very hard to find. This map was published by George N. Tackabury, Detroit Michigan, the maps within were drawn and compiled by H.F. Walling, C.E. Each map has original hand coloring. This map shows different geological formations throughout the state. Each rock type is color coded. Also shows cities and towns, railroads, and counties.
