The map illustrates the coastal stretch of the Republic of Genoa, extending from Ventimiglia to La Spezia, highlighting the region’s topography and settlements. An ornate central cartouche presents the map’s title, while an additional cartouche in the upper left contains a detailed plan of Genoa’s fortifications, reflecting the city’s strategic significance. Below the main map, a striking panoramic view of Genoa from the sea is featured, showcasing the city’s architecture and bustling harbor, accompanied by a numbered key identifying 64 notable structures and locations.
