Engineer, January 1879. This interesting river map points out many shoals and various rock reeses’s along the route along with different natural and man-made features such as Settle’s Bridge, Lone island, Allens Ford, Danbury Bridge, the town of Leaksville, and the border line between North Carolina and Virginia, among others.
