This 1932 map of Florida is rich with history, detailing everything from periodic explorations by Cabot and Ponce De Leon, flag changes, recovered and lost treasures, road constructions, the Civil War period, and the colonization of Florida. The history covers 1497 to 1924 and lists the governors between those times. Roads, railroads, and ferries are also laid out. Population markers for different cities and Indian reservations are shown. The map contains small historical tidbits about battles and industries that started around their respective towns. Counties are depicted in blue. A very informative and content-rich map. This map also includes a small booklet called “Florida Facts for Tourists.”
