This map was produced for the “Monarch Standard Atlas” , by J.Martin Miller in 1905. Mississippi illustrated on this map, with a list of counties and chief cities to the left of the map. Counties are distinguished by color. Other details include illustrations of lakes, rivers,and mountains. The atlas proclaimes that it offers “complete, original and authentic maps of the present developement of all the countries, empires and states of the world comprising a graphic description of the people: their civilization, their religion, their government, their cities, their important exports, their wealth, their railways, their canals, their cables, their telegraphs, ect., including a description of their climate, the productions, the rivers, the valleys, the lakes, the mountains, the minerals, the glaciers, and every other subject of interest to the american people.”
