This beautiful, hand colored, steel plate engraved map of the North Pole was made by William Bradley & Bros. in 1889. Countries, important cities, and major rivers, lakes, and mountain ranges are identified on the map. A large part of the Arctic was still not mapped at this time, and important recent discoveries are identified.
