An exceptional north-westerly orientated map of present-day northeasterly Holland. Shown are the cites of Amsterdam, Leyden, Haarlem and The Hague. Highlights include the ten fishing boats in the North Sea and the dams in construction. In the Middle Ages there was a total of four lakes, which together from the 15th Century, the sea formed. At the right edge of the beautiful title cartouche with milepost.
