This detailed map was produced for Crams 1895 “Universal Atlas – Geographical, Astronomical and Historical.” In 1869, the George F. Cram Company was born, and the Cram name quickly became synonymous with accuracy and innovation. This map includes three views of the world; the upper left hand view is the world according to Pomponius Mela about A.D 50, the world map in the upper right is according to Dionysius Periegetes, and the lower, largest of the three views is the world according to Ptolemy about A.D. 150.
