This map of California was made by S. Augustus Mitchell in 1872. The traditional ivy border, and hand coloring make this map beautiful. This state map of shows transportation routes, railroads, rivers cities, towns and counties. Counties are distinguished by various pastel colors. Unique to this map is a very large inset map of San Francisco, showing street level detail, public buildings, raillines, and parks. There is also in inset map of San Francisco Bay and Vicinity in the lower left corner. California map with San Francisco are hard to find. Very Detailed!
