This hand colored map was made by O.W.Gray and son in 1886 for “The National Atlas”. The topographical features of Virginia and West Virginia are illustrated on this map. Several insets show areas at greater scales than the main map. Counties are distinguished by bright pastel color. Other details include the names of counties and important cities, and illustrations of railroads, rivers, mountains, and lakes.
