The book is broken down into four general periods: 1) the genesis of Mormonism: through 1844; 2) Hegira, exploration and early settlement of Utah: 1845-59; 3) Resistance and polygamy: 1860-90; 4) Assimilation and scholarly exegesis of the Mormon experience: 1890-present. The author notes this is only a start and there are many other great books on this subject. This book is in very good condition with minimal wear and tear and the cover remains intact.
