From the backside of the postcard: One of the most unusual attractions of the Rocky Mountain region is the annual public hike sponsored by the Boulder Chamber of Commerce to the famous Arapahoe Peak and Glacier. This glacier which is the largest in Colorado is owned by the City of Boulder; thus, Boulder is the only city in America actually owning a glacier as its source of water supply. The altitude of the glacier is 12,000 feet while Arapahoe Peak rises to 13,500 feet.””
