This is a reproduction of a unique antique pictorial map of the city of Boston, done in 1929. These pictorial maps were extremely popular in the early 20th century. This map was drawn by Charles R. Capon for the Boston Five Cents Savings Bank, and was done in honor of their 75th anniversary. It depicts important buildings and historic sites with banner style labels. A decorative cartouche appears in the lower left corner of the map. It features the notable buildings throughout the town, and is complimented by various boats in the harbor and many decorative elements.
