This is a unique map of Yorktown, Virginia, done by Chesnoy in 1784. Major Michel Capitaine du Chesnoy drew this superb manuscript map for General Lafayette to record the decisive battle of the American Revolution. Its colors are clear and bright, and it shows in great detail the fortifications and military positions of the two armies in and around this little Virginia town.
