Well known for its illustrated and usually of culturally topical references on the covers, The New Yorker has never shied away from their humorous tone. This vintage print of a skier flying through the air as his red hat floats behind him was done for the January 26, 1935 issue. Artist Perry Barlow was an American cartoonist, who was also color blind, was famous for his many New Yorker cartoons and covers.
