Frank Newbould was an English poster artist during the early 20th century. Newbould specialized in travel posters for various railroads in England. His style was characterized by bold shapes and colors. This series was for the LNER (London and North Eastern Railway) and depicts fashionable passengers enjoying the Scottish capital. The couple is standing in front of the Mons Meg, a cannon that stands outside of Edinburgh castle. This would look very classic as a framed piece for any room.
