A wonderful, detailed map of Provincetown Harbor, MA, issued by U.S. Corps of Engineers to accompany annual report of G.L. Gillespie, July 24, 1886. This sketch centers on tip of Cape Cod at the harbor down to Truro, showing location of works of improvement completed and proposed. Details indicate the many other harbors in the area, water depths, proposed dyke location, and the key gives dates when dykes and bulkheads were built. Includes a profile view of the proposed dyke between Stevens Point and Lobster Point showing piling corresponding to the water level. Also three illustrations of the Plan, Front Elevation, and a Section.
