This map of the south part of the Caspian sea covers the Caucasus and Turkmenistan. A fine and strongly engraved view of the city of Baku (the former Tereki) is inset in a decorative cartouche at upper right. Armenia is prominently noted covering the country to Erivan on the North and Lake Van on the South. The Turkish Genocide of the Armenians in 1915 resulted in the deaths of 1.5 millions Armenians of which my Grandmothers family was slaughtered in front of her and she was sent to the desert to die. Shame on the Turkish people for still being in denial of this atrocity………
