Vintage Antique Arkansas Maps
Art Source International has amassed a collection of authentic antique maps and images brilliantly highlighting and detailing the state of Arkansas which borders the Mississippi River, Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee, and Missouri. The state is home to the Ozarks region in its northwest that has hiking trails and limestone caves such as Blanchard Springs Caverns. The capital, Little Rock, has a rich history within the American Civil Rights Movement. The Little Rock Nine gave the state national attention in 1957 when the federal government intervened to protect the African-American students trying to integrate a high school in the capital. The school was fully integrated in 1959. Home to many historical figures such as Johnny Cash, Maya Angelou, and Bill Clinton. The state has seven distinct natural regions: the Ozark Mountains, Ouachita Mountains, Arkansas River Valley, Gulf Coastal Plain, Crowley’s Ridge, Arkansas Delta, and Central Arkansas. Art Source International reproductions and vintage maps can be ordered framed or without a frame.
