M. F. A. Garnier made this 1862 edition of the “Atlas de Geographie” in Paris. The maps in this atlas would frame nicely due to their extraordinarily beautiful hand coloring and title plates and their large margins. Asia Minor is illustrated on this map with pastel pink, yellow, blue, purple and green coloring used to distinguish regions. The names of regions, possessions, important cities, island chains, mountains, rivers and lakes are identified in French.
