Paris at the turn of the century is shown here in a stunning and colorful map. This is the city that was called at the time “the Capitol of Europe”, as it was the cultural and artistic crown of the continent. Writers, artists and intellectuals were drawn to experience its powerful creative influence and stayed, charmed by its romantic air. This map captures a bit of that time, as it depicts the city, and features its famous landmarks by illustrating them with a vignette. So we see small architectural drawings of Notre Dame, Sacre Coeur, Arc De Triomphe, Tour Eiffel, and dozens more. All streets are named within the city walls and likewise major thoroughfares that spindle from the city center are labeled. This map is in excellent condition and is exquisitely framed with all archival materials being used. It is enhanced by an inner mat, inner liner, marbleized paper, textured mat, UV protective glass and an ornate wood frame.
