Map of Africa

This finely detailed map came from Johnson’s New Universal Cyclopedia: Scientific and Popular Treasury of Useful Knowledge, published in 1876. These maps were drawn and engraved on copper plate and colored by hand in pastel colors. This map illustrates Africa with inset maps showing the Cape Verde Islands and St. Helena, regions, countries, cities, and topographical features are noted. The small size of these map make them perfect for framing. Great gift!
