This map shows the underground water in the Dakotas and underlying sandstones in the northern half of the Black Hills region. The colored portions indicate the outcrop area of Dakota and associated sandstones, Minnelusa sandstone, Deadwood formation, and depths. Topographic features that show land contours and heights are also shown.
