M. F. A. Garnier made the “Atlas de Geographie” in 1862. The maps in this atlas would frame nicely due to their extraordinarily beautiful hand coloring and title plates and their large margins. Angentina, Uraguay, Paraguay, and Chile with parts of adjacent countries are illustrated on this map with pastel coloring. The names of regions, possessions, important cities, island chains, mountains, rivers and lakes are identified in French.
