Turkey in Europe
In stock
As the Turkish Empire expanded throughout Asia, reaching down into Iraq, it also stretched well into Europe and posed a challenge to the Empires of the time. Here we see Turkey bordering on Poland in the North, and consuming all of Greece, the archipelago and Crete (here shown as Candia). Bold hand color and a very nice engraving. This is from a rare set of maps that we havent seen in the last 20 years and makes this a uncommon opportunity. Condition very good.
